Love is a Verb, or, My Day

Last week someone at the coffee shop asked me "what, exactly, I do all day." This is a fair question, for many who do not have children are mystified by the experience of a "stay at home" mom (or any mom for that matter.) I wasn't sure how to answer that question. "Well, I take care of the baby..." But what does that mean?

After I left I decided to pick a day--a regular, not particularly busy day, a day with no special events or appointments or chores--and take pictures throughout the day. I offer to you, gentle readers/viewers, a sample of these documentary photos. If it bores you, I apologize. It's "what I do."

  2. Yeah, but, I mean, do you do any, y'know, "work"?
